An accomplished soloist, pedagogue & chamber musician who has extensively and successfully toured throughout US, Europe, Central & South America. A former member of the La Catrina Quartet Semi Finalist on the 4th International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition in Weimar, Germany, and winners of the 2007 Young Performers Career Advancement Showcase held in New York City which landed them both the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as well as launched them as the youngest Latin American Quartet concertizing group.
Mr. Figueroa's concert engagements includes recitals in many prestigious chamber concert series throughout the world, including Friends of Music.
For the past year, Mr. Figueroa is currently recording and performing a series of Chamber Works written by various LatinAmerican composers. These works are highly influenced by various styles of LatinAmerican rhythms, they have already been well received by audiences & reviewers from stages around New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Panama, Uruguay & England. Mr. Figueroa has trained & collaborated with prominent chamber musicians such as Robert Mann, William Preucil, Yo Yo Ma and various chamber ensembles such as Brentano, Miami, Miro, Ying & Turtle Island Quartets. He also recorded for various public radio programs including Cleveland's PBS/NPR broadcast.
At the present, Mr. Figueroa forms part of New York's prestigious Música de Cámara, a core of young Latin American string chamber players which mission is to help promote the music from different Latin American composers. Currently a member of the Paramount Chamber Players and an active violinist with the London based Almeida Trio, performing in many venues in the United Kingdom, Mr. Figueroa is a guest Artist & Pedagogue in many places including the Los Angeles Philharmonic "Harmony Project" and Sembrando Talentos Uruguay.
Mr. Figueroa is founder & Artistic Director of Chamber Music Lenoir & Colpi d'Arco, a multinational group of young & adult professional string players which share a strong comminment to all types of chamber music performance.
